Dmitri “Misha” Tippens Krushnic was born on August 20, 1974. His stage name is Misha Collins; “Collins” is derived from the maiden name of the great-grandmother’s maiden name. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Rebecca Tippens and Richard Krushnic. He does not know the origins of his family, but he knows that they have been in Canada for at least six generations.
